When low fidelity is the right choice
Low-fidelity prototypes — sketches, wireframes, rough click-throughs — are best early, when you are still deciding structure and flow and want to avoid debating visuals. Their roughness is a feature: it keeps feedback on the right layer.
Low fidelity is cheap to change, which is exactly what you want while the shape of the product is still moving.
